    Whittier PTA Jog-A-Thon Around the Corner, Will Support Bailey Gatzert Partnership With the help of families and community partners, Whittier PTA has met its fundraising goal for the 2017-18 school year.

    Performances are Friday, May 18th at 7:00pm and Saturday, May 19th at 2:00pm. Tickets will be on sale in the Whittier Lobby every morning from 7:45am - 8:05am and every afternoon from 2:15pm - 2:45pm and at the door before each performance. Cash or check only. We hope to see you there!

  • Be SMART, Gun Safety Presentation

    The Whittier PTA will be hosting a presentation from the Be SMART campaign. By informing adults about gun safety and responsible gun storage, the Be SMART campaign intends to reduce child deaths and injuries caused by guns. The presentation is for both gun owners and non-gun owners, helping parents understand how to secure guns in their own homes and ensure that there are no unsecured guns in other homes and environments that their children may visit.

  • Volunteers needed for the NEW Play structure

    The time has come! We need your help (and muscles!) to install the new Whittier play structure, including the HUGE task of hauling and spreading new gravel and wood chips. You may have signed up in the Fall to help. This is the new and revised signup, so please sign up here.
  • Congratulations Whittier Banana Squids!

    The Whittier Banana Squids won the semi-finals of Seattle Public Library’s Global Reading Challenge last Friday, March 9th and will now move onto the finals. Out of hundreds of teams in the district, we are in the top 9! We are so proud of their hard work and determination.
  • Share your love of books!

    Join us for the Spring Book Drive for Bailey Gatzert! This year's Book Drive starts March 19th and ends March 30th. Please donate new and gently-used books for students at Bailey Gatzert Elementary (Pre-K through 5th grade). Bailey Gatzert Elementary is our sister school, located in South Seattle. The goal of our Book Drive is inspire reading by supplying engaging elementary books for the students to read over Spring Break.
  • Parent Education Night

    Join us for a conversation about Positive Discipline led by Sound Discipline facilitator, Deneen Bowen. This is a great opportunity to learn how to teach kids important social and life skills based on encouragement and mutual respect.
