Whittier Heights Community Council

The Whittier Heights Community Council (WHCC) has several upcoming events in our neighborhood that are a great way to give back to the community and also have fun this summer.  All are family-friendly and great for kids.

For details visit the WHCC website or the WHCC Facebook page, or email heather.drennan@gmail.com.

SDOT pedestrian flag project: the flags are now up at Whittier!  We have another 8 intersections requested by the community.  Let us know if your family can help install flags (funded by SDOT) — very easy and a great way to involve kids in community safety.

Crosswalk/intersection painting project: we’re working on the funding — then the fun part begins: picking the crosswalk/intersection, choosing the designs, and painting! The crosswalk in front of Whittier meets the SDOT guidelines perfectly. Let us know if you’d like to join our steering committee!

Movie Night at Kirke Park: set for August, WHCC will host an outdoor movie night at Kirke Park. Families can watch a movie under the stars in our beautiful neighborhood park. Join the steering committee to figure out the fun details: projecting and choosing the movie, food options, and choosing the date!
