Whittier Students Recognized for Reflections Contest Entries

Congratulations Alexandra T. and Teagan M.!

Both were selected to participate in the Reflections contest regional showcase! Congratulations Teagan M. as her visual arts submission will be moving on to the state competition. Both will be recognized on Sunday, Jan. 8, from 2pm - 3pm at the Seattle Center Armory. 

This years theme was "What's Your Story". Entries from all grade levels and abilities welcome. Every student that enters will receive a participation ribbon and have their artwork hung in the entryway of the school!

The arts include: dance choreography, film production, photography, literature, music composition, and visual arts (drawing, painting, etc.). Deadline for entry submission (accompanied by an Entry Form) was Oct. 28th.

The Reflections Program is a National PTA and WSPTA cultural arts competition, the purpose of which is to provide an opportunity for students to use their creative talents by expressing themselves through their own original works.

P.S. The search is on for the 2018-19 Reflections theme, and the creator of the winning theme could be YOU! The student who submits the winning entry will receive $100, and his or her theme will be announced at the National PTA Convention and Exhibition in June, 2017. Enter today!
