Family Workshop: Bucket Filling on Oct 4
    Posted on 10/01/2019
This month we are celebrating kindness and kicking the month off with a “Bucket Filling” assembly for kids and families on Friday, October 4th.

On this day, PTA leaders will be at Whittier to fill your reusable coffee cup and collect any annual give donations.

At 8:00AM, all families are invited to participate in a workshop about how to create a bucket filling household.Bucket filling is a metaphor that helps guide our decisions in the way we think, say, and do. Your children will have the opportunity to learn about bucket filling throughout the day.

We all have an invisible bucket that holds our feelings, when our buckets are full we feel happy, when our buckets are empty we feel sad, and it’s our words, actions and mindsets toward ourselves and others that determine whether ours and other’s buckets are full or empty.

The assembly and parent workshop will help us remember to do some of those little things that fill people’s buckets and make a big difference in our community. We want all families and students to feel noticed, included, and loved.

We hope you can join us for these family events.
