Protect yourself, your child, and your community from the flu. Seattle Visiting Nurse Association returns to do the annual flu shots at Whittier Elementary on Tuesday October 22nd from 9:30 AM - 11:30 AM. Students (ages 4 and older), staff and community members can get the flu shot. All SPS insurance is accepted. Most forms of insurance (including Apple Health and Medicaid) and cash or check ($40) are accepted. The consent form needs to be filled out completely.

Families who have no insurance can write “No insurance” and the student can still get a flu shot. A thimerosal-free vaccine is available for pregnant women. The double dose version recommended for adults over age 65 is not available.

Please find the flu consent form and information on the link below. Forms are also available in the school office. Please return the forms to the office by October 15th. Please contact Nurse Joan (jemcdonagh@seattleschools.org) if you have any questions. Thank you!
