    2021 Global Reading Challenge

    The Global Reading Challenge is a book trivia competition for 4th and 5th graders who attend Seattle Public Schools.

    Kids can read one, several, or all the books.

    You will work together as a team to advance in the competition by answering questions about each book.

     


    2021 Global Reading Challenge Books are announced


    New Way to Participate!

    • This year, The Seattle Public Library is offering an optional opportunity to participate creatively in The Global Reading Challenge!
    • Students are invited to create an art piece, either individually or collaboratively, in response to one of the Global Reading titles.
    • Physical copies of your artwork can be displayed in the windows of The Greenwood Branch Library.
    • Artwork will also be submitted digitally for possible sharing on social media.

    How Will We Get the Books?

    • You can access many of the books digitally via Libby using your Seattle Public Library Card.
    • You can access both eBooks and eAudiobooks for various titles.
    • Paperback copies will also be delivered to your schools and made available via curbside service.
    • You can also place holds on the print copies available from the Seattle Public Library and pick them up via your nearest curbside branch.

    No library card? No worries.
