    Thank you for a great Spring Fling

    Spring Fling 2019 LogoThanks to all of you for making the Spring Fling such a huge success! We wanted to have a night filled with fun and fundraising and it was achieved. Thanks to those of you that attended and bid on items. Thanks to the families that donated items to your classroom buckets. Because of all of you we were able to double our fundraising goal for the evening. At this point we have raised $58,000 and since this was a smaller event with less costs than the auction our net proceeds are over $50,000!

    You still have until the end of the day today, March 22, to fill spots in some of our sign-up parties. Many of them were filled at the Spring Fling but we have a few remaining spots open. There are spots open in kid only events such as Movie Night in the Library with Ms. Newcomb (Parent Night Out!), Picnic with Principal Clark (4th and 5th only), and Backyard Birding & Crafting. There are also a some open spots in adult only events like Manual Photography for Beginners + Happy Hour, Movie Night at Ms. Rebecca’s, and the very popular Mom’s & Moscow Mules. We also received some late donations for 2 tickets to UW vs. Eastern Washington Football game & 2 tickets to Zakir Hussain @ The Moore. Check them out here.

    Thank you to the amazing Spring Fling team that helped coordinate all the different aspects of the event. Emily Clark & Gena Mason Frank (Communication), Sandra Klay & Katie Dahlen (Decorations), Karen Gustafson & Corinne DeLeon (Procurement), Ann Ilgen & Sara Lukas (Sign-Up Parties), Emily Grosse (Classroom Art Coordinator), Andrea Broadus (Tumblers), Courtney Sievers (Classroom Bucket Coordinator), Katie Lyden & Emily Pearce (Food and Beverage), Jennifer Mannheim (Volunteer Coordinator), and Hilarie Sander & Ariane Harris (Merchandising).

Thank you to the parents that worked with the students on the classroom art – Anna Reeve, Ashley Martin, Asimina Kubaitis, Josh Caldwell, Autumn Skeel, Ming Platt, Carrie Riney, Stephanie Chamberlain, Krista Gregg, Susanne Stauffer, Ariane Harris, Emily Grosse, Emily Woodburne, Sara Nagel, Rachel Knecht, Stacy Perunovic, Catherine Mutti-Driscoll, Katie Dahlen, and Cait Breeden. These items are what make the silent auction so special.

    Thank you to the teachers and staff who have contributed their valuable time and shown a great deal of patience (especially with our crazy snow schedule). Your generous donations and help with classroom art projects make the Spring Fling even more special for our students and their families. 

    A big thank you to our emcee (and dad) Scott Harris and to our DJ Ms. Steph (Turner-Busiel). Both donated their awesome talents to help make the Spring Fling highly entertaining.

    Also thank you to all the volunteers that stepped in that night to help make everything run smoothly by selling drink tickets, checking in/out guests, serving beer, filling pitchers, & cleaning up. Huge thanks to Jeremy Holt who volunteered to man the bar the whole night and to Karen Witt and Karen Gustafson for checking in and out all of the guests! Also thanks to Adriane Berman, Mendy Minjarez, Jen Ingram, Susan Stauffer, Shelly Smith, Angie Lundstedt, Gail Olson Laing, Sandy Hawley, Carl Mannheim, Marko Frank, Jon Broadus, Andrea Broadus, Cara Seaver, Ann Ilgen, Sandra Klay, Kathleen and George Durham. Plus all those that chipped when needed to make the night happen! Especially those that stuck around to clean up! What an amazing community we live in!

    Lastly, thanks to the staff that were able to attend the event. It was so wonderful to see them support the community.
