    Next Steps / Solutions
    Staff Discussion on adding IXL and/or RAZ Kids could be helpful tools to get more information / data on students

    Less full group time and more small group time could also be helpful. Working in small groups helps teachers to find missing links within the class and help students make connections with their peers.

    Staff discussion around synch and asynch time. Could we use supervision $$ for student socializing to foster connection during asynch time or lunch time

    Splitting the workload with team

    Using SeeSaw and nviting students and parents to collaborate on a class blog so they can see other student work and can comment on other work.

    SPL is offering tutoring services. That could be an option to help with small groups. Grade Level Parent Leads to foster parent connection
    Working toward more student collaboration during synchronous time (ie: breakout

    rooms, interactive whiteboards, buddy chat, other)
    Need an efficient solution to get books into students hands. Could RAZ Kids

    or Tumblebooks be a way to get books to students? Headsprout on RAZ Kids is very helpful for students that are learning to read.

    Whittier Emergency Sub Plan - Roll Over 2019 – 2020 plan for the year.

    1. If a position is unfilled, Rebecca or Monica will place an all staff email out for support and coverage.

    2. The admin team will cover or arrange for coverage for areas that are not filled.

    3. Staff will put in for additional pay by the 10th of the month.

    If a certificated staff is not filled...

    Certificated staff who cover during their planning time will be compensated for their time at a $40 for each instructional block. It cannot exceed the total rate of the allocated funds ($220) • Last year 26 out of 29 supported this plan.

    Para Professional Plan – Approved by our Para Educators

    In support of an equitable plan of coverage which includes certificated time, para sub reimbursement funds will be divided as follows.

    • 50% ($90) will be divided evenly among the number of working IA in the effected program

      that day.

    • 50% ($90) will be available for certificated staff who are impacted by the sub or support the

      program during their conference period.

    • If the money in the certificated share is left unclaimed the unclaimed money will be divided

      evenly among the para's submitting for pay.

    • In case of programs with a single IA, the funds will be available to paraprofessional or

      certificated staff covering that schedule and unclaimed money will go into the fund. 100% of the para's approved that last year.
      24 out of 27 supported this proposal.

      – finding safe ways to have students and staff safely in the building, HYBRID Plan, Additional Resources to Support Math Learning at Home, schoolwide strategies for helping students and staff connect socially.
