    Happy New Years Whittier Families!

I hope you had a fantastic break!  I am excited to be back in the building leading the Whittier Wildcats!

Students have done an outstanding job transitioning back into the routine of school.   The PBIS term of the month is EMPATHY.  We are hoping to raise caring empathetic students.  Please help us highlight the term at your house as well.

Tomorrow the office staff are hosting a mix-match day.  Students can wear mismatched socks, shoes, mix and match colors, patterns or any other fun combination that celebrates individuality and differences.

Friday Night - January 11th  - the  Whittier PTA is hosting a family dance in the Whittier gymnasium.  This is a fun opportunity to hang out with other Whittier Families and DANCE!

Ms. Steph is the DJ.  Families should bring their own water bottle and snack.  The dance starts at 6:30 and ends at 8:00 pm.  Students must be accompanied by an adult.

Monday, January 14th Whittier is hosting a special Principal coffee in the library at 8:00 AM. Superintendent Juneau's executive assistant will be going over information about the upcoming levy and budget season.  Please join me to learn more about Seattle Public Schools.

Starting tomorrow - Kindergarten students will take their very first MAP test.  Students will finish these tests in the library next week.

Friday, January 18th - 1:15 - Chic Streetman will join the students and staff in celebrating the legacy of Martin Luther King.

    Thanks for all you do!

    Principal Clark
