    I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend.  I wanted to take a few minutes to check in and make sure you are aware of all the amazing events we have for families and students.  Congratulations to students and families for your outstanding participation in this year’s Ballard Nordic Parade.    Thank you Mr. Pule for running an awesome program for our students.

    May 20th – May 25th:  MAP Testing and SBAC Testing Make Up 

    Monday – Kindergarten Field Trip:  PNW Ballet:  PTA Funds at work!

    Wednesday – Nordic History Museum (Mayo, Lemming) Early Release

    Thursday – Nordic History Museum 2nd Grade (Smart and McGrath) : 4th Grade Field Trip to the Washington History Museum – All Fourth Grade.  

    May  28th – May 31st

    Monday – No School: Enjoy your three-day weekend.

    Tuesday – 3rd Grade Field Trip to Blake Island: PTA FUNDS at Work

    Wednesday – Early Release

    Thursday – 5th Grade Science SBAC Assessment  

    June 3rd – June 7th (Kindness Week – School Wide Celebration – 4th Grade Wheat Week.) 

    Friday –7th Grade Instrumental Concert at Greenwood Elementary

    June 10th – June 27th Events 

    June 12, Wednesday – Early Release: New Student for Next Year: Popsicle Play Date 5:00 pm

    June 13, Thursday: Math Night for K- 2 Families 6:00 – 7:30 Join us for a K-2 evening of math games.  You will get lots of ideas on how to build math games into your summer schedule.

     June 14, Friday – Field Day and All School Barbecue.  (More Details will come.)  

    June 18,  Tuesday 5th Graders to visit Olympia: PTA Funds at Work!

    June 20Thursday, Whittier Spring Sing and Art Walk: 6:00 – 7:30

    June 21, Friday: Whittier Jogathon – Rainbow Spirit Day (More Details to Come!)

    June 27th – 5th Grade Moving Up Assembly/Celebration at 8:15 – 10:30:  Early Dismissal for all at 1:25
