    Inaugural Jog-a-Thon a Success! WildCats Win!

    Our Wildcats laced up their sneakers and ran their hearts out on Friday, June 2, 2017 at our inaugural Jog-A-Thon, and we can't thank the students, staff, volunteers and sponsors enough for all their hard work!

    A HUGE THANK YOU to the planning committee: Amanda Taylor, Kelsey Toppenberg, Justin Fenton, Katie Dahlen, Shelley Curtis, Claire Fenton, and Rachel Knecht. The classroom chaperones cheering and marking laps were an essential piece to the event running so smoothly. THANK YOU!

    Also, a BIG SHOUT OUT to everyone who brought baked goods and worked the booth.

    How the Jog-a-Thon Worked
    Every student was invited to run/jog/walk during a 30-minute period of the school day. Students could raise personal donations online or in person (think family, friends, and neighbors!) as flat donations or per-lap pledges. Our fundraising goal was $15,000 (approximately $50 per student) to help support the 2017-18 PTA budget. 

    Create Jog-A-Thon Fundraising Pages
    To manage online pledges, Wildcats had the option to create their own Jog-A-Thon Fundraising page easily, following these 5 easy steps. Once ready, students set up pages via FirstGiving and sent the link to family and friends.

    Cash pledges an online donations were recorded on Jog-a-Thon envelopes and returned via KidMail or to the office.

    After the bell, the fun continued until 3:00pm with snacks, music, and family laps. The after party moved to the Barking Dog (705 NW 70th St), who hosted a special fundraising Wildcat menu from 3:00pm - 6:00pm.
