At Seattle Public Schools, the safety of our students is one of our most important concerns. Even so, accidents do happen and resulting medical treatment (ambulance transport, surgery, hospitalization, etc.) can be very expensive.

Please know that the District does not assume responsibility for these costs. However, as a service to you and your child, our school district has joined with many other member districts of the Washington Schools Risk Management Pool to offer you access to a low cost, voluntary purchase student accident/sickness insurance program. The program is arranged and administered by Myers-Stevens & Toohey & Co., Inc. a firm that has specialized in such coverages for 40 years.

The basic coverage will help with the medical bills from an accident that happens at school or during after-school activities, including all athletic programs (except high school football).

There are options available for 24-hour accident coverage, student health insurance coverage and varsity football coverage.

Click here to visit the Myers-Stevens website for the available plans and an enrollment form.
